ICHK Summits Prepares to Welcome First Learners

ICHK Summits will be welcoming its first learners within weeks.

Our new campus for young adults with diverse learning needs has been completely redeveloped over the summer.  State-of-the-art learning spaces have been created along with a small coffee shop, which will allow participants to develop skills that can be applied in the world of work.

An induction week has been planned, which will introduce learners to the Summits programme through engaging, team-building activities. It will also provide opportunities for them to become acquainted with each other and their new environment.

ICHK Summits is a comprehensive work and life skills programme, specifically designed for English-speaking neurodivergent young adults.

It has been inspired by ICHK’s inclusive and innovative philosophy and practices, and is aimed at bridging the gap between education and adulthood, preparing learners for life beyond school and the world of work.

Vocational training will be integrated with holistic life skills, and will include job observations, a mix of supported and unsupported internships, one-on-one mentoring and job coaching. Young people will also develop skills in budgeting, travel, personal safety, digital literacy and self care.

The programme will run from a non-profit learning space and social enterprise located in Pearl Oriental House, in the heart of Central.
